Safely Home!

Here's how I feel... strong and happy...
Yep, training was GREAT and now we are ready to work on our project (due around December 10) and our final exam (on December 15th).

And then the REAL work starts... learning what we actually do on the job!

Hugs to everyone,

Aimee

Day 3 of Class...

No photos today... I was too tired!  Enjoying class... but working hard to keep up.  I still haven't got my grade from my first test, so I'm still nervous about that!

Hopefully I'll find out my score tomorrow... we have class until noon and then we are heading home.

Good night,

Aimee

Day 2 of Class...

Well, the day started GREAT!  The morning session was very understandable and Lezlie and I were feeling pretty good.  Then, the afternoon hit!  First, Lezlie found out she made a 98 on her test!  So, I'm MORE nervous about my score because if I scored poorly I sure am going to look bad.  And, the afternoon was more confusing... so I'm nervous about my test score and trying to focus on new concepts.  I'm a wreck.
We had a GREAT dinner, though... and met a new Mercy co-worker, Tammy.  Here we are:
The funniest thing was that while we were at dinner, Craig texted me telling me that he is at dinner with Erin's parents!  It's really a small world.

Going to bed... another big day tomorrow.

Epic Training: Day One

Today was our first day of Cadence Administrator training and we did great!  It was much better than we thought it would be... Lezlie and I were so worried but we did fine.  We got there an hour early to make sure we sat in the front... here's what the building looked like when we drove up:
It looked so eerie... adding to our apprehension...
Then, we found out we were in the "Clown" room!  That just made us laugh.  Here's the pictures that are on the wall when you walk in our training room:
And, outside the classroom we found a comfy place to rest:

Lezlie wanted to be in The Producers, er The Developers:
And, even Nesi (Stephanie's dog) made the wall:
Oh, and did you know I got a new phone... I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Well, that's it for today... I'm going to rest for tomorrow.

Bye!

Back in Wisconsin!

Lezlie and I drove back to Wisconsin today for our second round of training.  We thought maybe a train ride would have been fun... but Lezlie's new Equinox is very comfortable!
Gas is pretty expensive up here, though...
We saw a beautiful rainbow... can you see it?  It's just to the right of the first windmill...
I tell you, Wisconsin LOVES their cows... must be their ability to provide CHEESE!

We had dinner at a wonderful restaurant... full of wonderful man art!  LOL

We are very excited for class tomorrow... we have 3 1/2 days of class... so I better get some rest.

More tomorrow,

Aimee

Resting up...

Our tests went well... and now we are anxiously waiting for the results.  We won't know for another week or so how we did... but Lezlie and I are confident that we passed!  On Monday we are heading back to Wisconsin for more training... and then there will be another test... and a big project.  So, I'm resting up this weekend!

Stay tuned,

Aimee

On the road again...

Training is done... our brains are overflowing!  Thelma and Louise (that's what they are calling me and Lezlie now) had a GREAT time and really learned a lot about Epic software.  Lezlie is driving her new Chevy Equinox!  Here's the view:
Ha ha... just kidding... here's the view out my window... it's really pretty driving through northern Illinois...
It's very windy... we are just taking our time and enjoying our visit.

Bye!

Cow Tipping?

Was it the wind?  Or cow tipping on the Epic grounds?

Yep, the Epic cow was tipped over today...  it was SO windy today... and rainy... and cold.  Tomorrow's weather should be better.

Erin joined us in Wisconsin today... she used to be on the Cadence team and now she's switching to Hospital Billing.  While I'm sad not to have her on our team, she is the reason I have a job!  Here we are at lunch...

And here's our Epic support person, Chad, with Erin:

Enjoyed more of the Epic art today... took my picture with the Blues Brothers...
And tried on a Wisconsin Cheese Head for fun...
It's not all fun and games, though!  We are taking our Cadence class very seriously and learning SO much!  Our Epic trainer is Carissa and she is awesome...
We went for a great dinner in a wonderful area tonight... They had a pumpkin tree in the street...
It's the end of another wonderful day in Wisconsin.  Life is good!

Good night,

Aimee

First Day of Epic Training!

Say Cheese!  Today is my first day as a Cadence Application Coordinator with the Sisters of Mercy!  I am in Wisconsin at Epic's Intergalactic Headquarters.  Here I am by the Epic cow:

Lezlie is here with me... here we are:
We are sitting by one of the MANY fireplaces!  And, by some of the artwork... I love the artwork at Epic.  My favorite is titled "Multiple Personalities"... here it is:

And, I really love the "Butler" who stands outside one of the training rooms:

There's a wonderful place for a campfire outside... notice the cow in the background... I've added a close up of it...
Here's what a piece of the facility looks like:

And here's the view from our training room:

After class we went to dinner at "The Great Dane" and tried Wisconsin Cheese Curds.  They were VERY delicious and the restaurant was great... atmosphere included!  It was a brewery, too!

"The Great Dane" is downtown, so we got to see the State Capitol Building... it's very beautiful...
So, that was my day... what fun!  My training class was GREAT... our instructor is EXCELLENT... and Madison is BEAUTIFUL!  Thank goodness it's not too cold... not yet, anyway!  They are expecting bad weather to move in tomorrow...
